A Look At Pip Surfacing

If you are creating a playground for children then it stands to reason that you are going to want to make sure that some safety measures are put in place. Of course this isn’t just because you want to make sure that they are as safe and sound as possible, but you don’t want to land yourself in hot water later down the line if someone does injury themselves.

Of course no one expects you to be in charge of making sure that no accidents happen, but you do need to make sure that you have some procedures in place. It stands to reason that slips, trips and falls in the playground will happen, you just need to make sure that you have safety features in place to try and keep injuries to a minimum.

Safety Options

One of biggest things to look at is flooring. Children will probably fall over and they’ll probably fall off of the climbing frame – so you want a soft feel flooring that they can land on. Pour in place (PIP) surfacing does just that. As the name suggests PIP surfacing is poured in when the playground equipment is installed which means that everything fits exact and you’re not left with any gaps or areas of the floor that are not covered. With PIP surfacing you get something that is as safe as possible for children to play on and prevent injuries.

Although this type of flooring shouldn’t get damaged, you’ll also be pleased to know that it is easily fixed/replaced/repaired should the worst happen. New rubber flooring can be placed over the top in order to make sure everything is back up to the top safety standard you should expect from this product.

Of course you also will want to make sure that the play equipment you buy is safe and secure. When you’re buying playground equipment and having it installed you want to make sure that you do so from a supplier you can trust. Do your research and make sure that you are buying reputable products from a reputable seller – so that you get value for money and that you know all of the equipment you buy is as safe as houses.

Setting Up The Park

When you are designing the play park safety features such as PIP surfacing are important but they are not everything. What you also need to make sure is that you are designing and putting together a park that children actually like and want to play in. A big part of this is the colour and design that you use. You need to make sure that you create somewhere fun and exciting. Think about the age range of the children you are creating for and choose equipment that is suitable for them. You can even go for different colours of PIP surfacing so whatever design you go for, you’ll be able to have safety floor that matches and what could be better than that?
